rylee's first field trip

rylee's first field trip was with her preschool class to lombardi ranch. Johnny was able to go with her. I think she was most excited about the bus ride! preschool has really been a wonderful thing for her as she has opened up a bit and started to be more outgoing.

snail painting...

yes, snail painting…
the girls decided that the many, many, many snails outside of Johnny's shop needed some decoration, and I guess names too…

a not so great Saturday...

Rylee has been dealing with nosebleeds off and on since the beginning of this year. Usually they have started like most little kid nosebleeds start...she tends to be a nose picker...eww!
One Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago she woke up with a bloody nose. The only difference this time was that this one wouldn't stop and in fact started up four more times after the first one.
After the fifth time (while we were at Target with Grammy), I called Johnny to meet me at the doctor's office. They ended up having to cauterize her nose to get it to stop bleeding. It definitely hurt a lot, and she couldnt stop sneezing for a while.
The worst part was that the chemical used caused a burn on her hand (where she tried to wipe her nose) and under her nostril. She ended up calling that side of her nose the "bad side" for a while because it stayed very tender for a few days :(
I was just glad that Johnny could come and meet us at the doctor's office that day. He's such a good daddy!

so proud...

I dont post about it much, but about 3 years ago Johnny started his own company and while scary and full of ups and downs, he has made it in to something really amazing. I am so proud of him for all that he does and for all that he does to provide for our family. I know he gives up a lot to make sure that his business is the best it can be, but Ive honestly never seen him happier and more settled with life!

This picture was taken a week or so ago when we were able to go out for coffee together one morning. This sign was posted on the window of the restaurant next door to the Starbucks we were at. It's a sign for a charity motorcycle ride benefitting a police officer and his family in our area...it was just so cool to see his company logo on the sign...

she makes us laugh...

She doesnt like to be called silly or funny, but she sure makes us laugh often!
in the costume she "just had to have". nope, it's not her Halloween costume, but she sure looks cute in it

I think this one is a cross between Merida and Sleeping Beauty...

my growing belly :)

baby girl is getting bigger and bigger...and so is my belly!

she is quite the wiggler and moves around a lot when her sisters are being wild or talking to her and when I or Johnny talk to her :)
She has a name (95% sure) but we are going to wait until she is born to share it :)

first day of preschool

the first day of preschool went from excitement to what appeared to be mild terror...definitely unlike her sister who just walked away and said goodbye ;)

then after the first day was over she was a totally different kid... she reported that she had made a new friend (Isabella-she said she asked her if she wanted to be her friend :))

the next day back was a bit better... I even got a thumbs up!

camping trip-malibu

the week Anna started first grade, we took a camping trip out to Malibu (Malibu RV Park). Our spot was across PCH from the ocean, but we could still hear the waves as we slept and the weather was perfect.

First grade!

My big girl started first grade last month. How is it at all possible that she is 6 1/2 (almost 7 as she often reminds me!) and in first grade!

Seems like she was a nervous little girl just starting kindergarten and is now a first grader who confidently found her friends on the playground and didn't have a problem with us leaving on the first day.

She LOVES her teacher and tells me everyday about all the great things she is learning.

I am thankful that her closest friends from her kindergarten class ended up in her first grade class with her, and I am thankful that she is having an easy time making new friends.

yep, we are having another girl!

we found out on August 13 that our newest baby will be another GIRL! We are very excited, and I am thankful that we already have the girl thing down pat :)

My new doctor is wonderful and does a quick ultrasound on every visit, so I will have lots of pictures of this little girl before she even arrives...and I cannot even imagine how many I will take after she arrives!! :)

Here is a great profile picture from the ultrasound where we found out...

our trip...on the way home

continuing the post from yesterday...I just wanted to share a few pictures from our trip coming back home...

we stopped in Oregon on the day we left the Spainhowers to visit my parents friends Dave and Joann. Anna and Rylee thought their house was awesome. Anna especially loved all the trees there were to climb...

Rylee loved the flowers...

my favorite part of the day was spending time with Dave and Joann who I dont see nearly enough and having them see the girls. This was the first time they met Rylee...

after leaving Dave and Joann's we stopped at a mall so Rylee could get her ears pierced. Johnny had promised her that when she turned 4 she could have her ears pierced just like Anna. Since we didnt get to do it before we left for our trip, we stopped on the way home...

the next morning we stopped at Mount Shasta and Lake Shasta (or Shusha as Rylee decided it was called)

our trip to washington

going back and catching up again...we went to washington in July to visit our friends the Spainhowers. Although it was a short trip, we made the most of it and packed in as much as we could...

Day one was off and running with a trip to a fun park with paddle boats, salamanders (ew!) and swimming....

then after that, we went to a car show in a close by town...the little girls didnt care too much for the noise...

then there was a trip to the zoo...

then while Julie, myself, and three of the girls went shopping, Anna decided to go shooting with Johnny, Anthony and Connor...

then there was a fun lunch and hike...

eek big belly! love the picture though :)

One of my favorite pictures of the whole trip :)
